Beautiful place to live

We live pretty close to the beach and if I feel like it, I can walk to it in about 30 minutes. Yesterday I took the time. Like always when I stand at the edge of the coast line, I'm appreciative of the beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me.

Spring Break

I haven't been in school or had anyone in my house that is in school for a while....but I am very grateful for spring break!

A memorable day at seminary

Our new stake president playing the role of Pilate during the trial of Jesus. He washed his hands in the bowl to his left. He said later that he was very conscience about the way he was sitting....since he was wearing a dress.

Seminary

Can I really post about seminary on a gratitude blog? Yes of course! Here are some of the reasons I'm thankful for seminary:

1. Spending time everyday studying the scriptures in able to do this calling correctly.
2. Getting too know some really great teenagers.
3. Rubbing shoulders with some awesome women who have become dear friends.
4. Starting my day very early....which make the rest of the hours in the day very productive.
5. I have a much greater understanding of the gospel from the years of teaching.

Sunday Dining

Every Sunday I remember how grateful I am to be married to Larry. In the last few years he has found pleasure in making dinner and then inviting over a family to help us eat it. So...not only do I look forward to the company of my children and grandchildren who live in town, but I also get to enjoy talking and getting better acquainted with a family in the ward. Dinner isn't so shabby either. On the menu today was barbecued salmon and chicken, fruit salad, green salad, mashed potatoes, rolls, a vegetable and deviled eggs. It is a veritable feast....and everyone enjoys the food and the company. Building memories every Sabbath with family & great food is just one more thing I am very thankful for in my life.

I've pondered about whether or not to start a blog, then while I was reading one of my girls blogs I had a thought....why not start a gratitude blog. I could write about the things in my life that I'm thankful for...which are many. So here it is. Of course the biggest source of my blessings comes from my family. Larry and I have 5 wonderful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren. Heavenly Father sent some of his best spirits when picking out our kids. In turn, our kids picked out equally wonderful spouses. I don't think a day goes by that I don't feel gratitude for my family. How did we get so blessed? I still can't figure it out.
